Do you ever wish you could eliminate that nagging voice in the back of your head - you know the one, it is always telling you what you can't do, why something won't work, how you don't deserve certain things, that you can't achieve your goals, what you can't have in life, that you're not organized, not focused, not motivated, not, not, not......
We've heard this voice called many things and the truth is, we all have it. So the good news is....you're perfectly normal, everyone battles that voice. Here's the better news...YOU CAN CHANGE IT!!!!!
Here's how:
First, REJECT:
Each time a thought comes into your head, disempower and reject it by saying:
"Thank you for being there. I know you serve a purpose. Next."
"Thank you for reminding me how I used to think. Next."
or simply say "Next".
Then REPLACE:
Follow this by replacing the thought with a positive one -
For example, when you think "I'm not smart enough to...." replace it with
"I am really smart in....."
When you think "I'll never lose weight" replace it with
"I easily achieve my goal weight of....." -or-
"I easily achieve wearing a size ....."
When you do this everyday, you will begin to "catch" the negative thoughts more quickly and immediately replace them with positive ones. And, one day, the positive thought will become the automatic thought and you will be on your way to achieving the results you desire.
Want this to work even more quickly????
Take time everyday to see yourself where you want to be. Visualize it. Feel the emotion of how you will feel when you have achieved the goal. Visualize your end result everyday...at least twice (once upon waking and once just before going to bed). Especially visualize and repeat your positive thought to get you through "rough spots" during your day.
Examples:
When tempted to eat something against your eating plan, repeat your positive thought and see yourself at you goal weight ~ wearing clothes the size you want to be.
When tempted to procrastinate a task, repeat your positive thought and see yourself at the end of the day, all tasks completed.
One final thought: the negative thoughts can be persistent and attack when least expected. Believe the above will work and every time a negative thought attacks, follow the above strategy. Stay focused on your end goal and when the negatives try to squirm their way in,
"REJECT AND REPLACE"
